Students Against Hunger Food & Fund Drive

Almost 50% of students in our 34-county service area qualify for free/reduced-price lunch

It's difficult for any student to excel academically when they come to school hungry. So we invite all students, staff, parents, and teachers to join our Students Against Hunger food and funds drive to help feed hungry children and their families in our community.

Since 1996, students in our area have donated enough to provide nearly 5 million meals.

Join the cause

Participants in the Students Against Hunger campaign collect food and funds from October 2 through December 2. Competing schools must deliver their donations to our warehouse by noon on Saturday, December 2, 2017

Extra incentives

A little boost for your competitive side! Besides bragging rights, we have some perks for schools that donate the most meals per student.

  • Each category winner is offered a photo opp at the Food Bank, to be shared on our website and social media.
  • Each category winner can also choose either:
    • Host a Food Bank representative at your school for a special presentation
    • Send a group (maximum 30 people) to your local Food Bank warehouse for a special tour

  • The overall winner of the competition will be honored during our annual ABC11 Together food drive.
