The Food Bank relies on support from the community to help collect food to support our mission. Encourage your friends, family, company, church, school, or neighborhood to get involved and participate!
Check out the resources below for more information on how to host a fantastic food drive.
In the wake of Hurricane Matthew, thousands of our neighbors are without food, water and basic supplies. The Food Bank CENC is poised to deliver life sustaining food, water, and non-food essentials to the thousands impacted by this storm. If you would like to support our disaster efforts, here's what you can do:
Donate Food/Items: During a disaster, these are the items we need the most. We have a strong need for personal hygiene, cleaning, and paper products. (We ask that you make every effort to drop off your food drive at one of our 6 warehouse locations, as our trucks and drivers are working extra hard to make Disaster Relief Deliveries.)
Spread Awareness: Encourage your friends to join the Hurricane Matthew Relief efforts. Click to share:
Volunteer: We need volunteers in the Durham area to collect food donations on Oct. 29 (10am-4pm) and Oct 30 (noon-4pm). Email email@example.com for more info & to sign up.
Delivery & Dropoff: You can deliver your food collection to any of our six Food Bank Branches. In order to save our resources, we ask that you deliver if at all possible. If you're unable to arrange a drop off, please contact our Food Drive Manager to arrange a pick up (48 hours notice required.)
Virtual Food Drive: A Virtual Food Drive is a food drive online! Follow a few simple set up screens to create your personal page and your friends and family can browse through our virtual grocery aisles, add items to a shopping cart, and check-out by making a monetary donation. Consider making it a team effort! Organize a competition between your neighbors, within your company, or among your community by easily setting up a team page. Learn More »
