3.2 Million Meals: Thanks to you!

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to your support this summer we have met the goal of 3.2 million meals for our two-month long Stop Summer Hunger Campaign.

Thanks to you, children have received breakfast and lunch at our Summer Food Service Sites.

Thanks to you, families have received the additional groceries and fresh produce needed to sustain them through the summer months.

Thanks to you, thousands of kids were able to enjoy their summer with bellies full and smiles on their faces.

Your generosity and support has touched so many lives this summer!

“The Problem with Getting Seconds” by Nicole Harris, Summer Food Service Supervisor: "On one of my site visits I watched an 8-year-old girl eat three sandwiches... "Serving More Than a Summer Meal": Read about our partnership with Woodforest National Bank in our Sandhills Branch service area, and how it helps us look beyond temporary food assistance to the root causes of poverty.

"Why Hot Summer Meals are a Big Deal:" Across our 34 counties, we monitor and support over 100 summer feeding sites. But only 10 of them are like this one, because this one serves hot meals. Read about why the hot meals program at the W.A. Foster Rec Center in Goldsboro is so important to the kids we serve.

On behalf of those we serve, thank you for partnering with the Food Bank to fulfill our mission that no one goes hungry in central and eastern North Carolina. We are deeply grateful...
