The Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina at Sandhills invites you to our annual Chef’s Feast event!  

Chef’s Feast is a delicious food and wine tasting event, showcasing chefs from the Pine Needles Resort, as well as local restaurants presenting their signature dishes. Not to mention an array of desserts! We will have live and silent auction items to bid on as well as a jazz band for your enjoyment.

The funds raised will be used to provide food to the 40,090 food insecure individuals in the Sandhills service area, in partnership with more than 98 partner agencies. This number includes 13,720 children and 3,998 seniors in Moore, Lee, Scotland, and Richmond Counties.

Tickets are $60 until September 30 and $75 dollars from October 1 until the event. An International Food and Wine tasting event! Chefs from local restaurants and the Pinehurst Resort are presenting their signature dishes from seven countries - and a French dessert. Coordinated wine tastings for your pleasure are provided by Presenting Sponsor Food Lion. The evening also features live jazz musicfor your listening pleasure, a silent auction with lots of items to consider, and a 50/50 raffle.  

The event will feature two North Carolina food personalities: Scott Mason and Lisa Prince. During the event they will demonstrate their experience and expertise in North Carolina foods and their cultural impact on our state.

Scott Mason, host of 'Tar Heel Traveler' on WRAL-TV
Scott is a 30-year feature reporter who wanders the back roads for WRAL-TV in Raleigh. He loves to eat hot dogs, hamburgers, biscuits, barbecue, donuts, and ice cream in old-timey, mom-and-pop landmarks with faded awnings, creaky floors, and wooden booths. He celebrates these classics in his newest book,Tar Heel Traveler Eats: Food Journeys Across North Carolina(Globe Pequot Press).

Lisa Prince, host of 'Flavor, NC' on UNC-TV
Lisa is a talented, engaging, and down to earth food pro on a mission to get North Carolina cooking local again. Flavor, NC is a television series dedicated to preserving and celebrating North Carolina’s agricultural heritage, one dinner plate at a time.Flavor, NC is the heart and soul of local food in North Carolina. It’s more than an address and more than a state of mind. Flavor, NC is the crossroads where the best of homegrown Tar Heel agricultural specialties meet up with the people and places who nurture that bounty.
