The Greenville Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina serves ten counties in eastern North Carolina. They are Carteret, Craven, Edgecombe, Greene, Jones, Lenoir, Onslow, Pamlico, Pitt & Wilson counties. Edgecombe and Wilson counties are shared with our Raleigh Branch. Carteret, Craven, Jones, Onslow, and Pamlico are shared with our New Bern Branch.
Last fiscal year, over 8.8 million pounds of food was distributed to 94 agencies in those counties. The Food Bank at Greenville operates three trucks that traveled over 85,423 miles last year. Volunteers donated over 36,733 hours of their time last year, equivalent to over 17 full-time employees.
In the counties served by the Greenville branch, over 103,000 individuals are at risk of hunger: 61,000 are children and over 7% are 65 years and over.

Youth Arts Festival Saturday, March 29, 2014 East Carolina University presents the 10th Annual Youth Arts Festival on Saturday, March 29 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Touch-A-Truck Saturday, April 5, 2014 The Junior Women's Association of Greenville proudly presents the 4th annual Touch-A-Truck event. Big rigs, emergency vehicles, construction equipment, and all the other big machines that make kids say "whoa!" will be on display from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in the parking lot area between the Greenville Mall and The East Carolina Bank. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door, with some of the proceeds going to the Food Bank. For more information, visit:

We've Moved! Our Greenville branch celebrated the move to a new location with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, October 24, 2013. The new 17,500 square foot distribution center on Union Street includes a new Produce Room donated by Food Lion and a dedicated volunteer area.
