Durham Branch Home Page

The Durham Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina serves 6 counties including Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange, Person, and Vance. In these counties, more than 106,990 people live in food insecure households, 30,750 of whom are children.

Last year we distributed more than 7.6 million pounds of food to our network of 173 partner agencies in the local community. Our volunteers at the branch served 30,132 hours, the equivalent to approximately 14 full-time employees. To learn more, view our Durham Branch Profile.

For every dollar donated, we can provide 5 meals to the Bull City community! Get involved today by making a donation, signing up to volunteer, or hosting a food drive!

Feed Durham Food Drive 2.0
August 2016
Be a leader in your community (at work and at home) by organizing a party, as casual or formal as you want it to be! The hope is that there will be dozens of these parties all over the triangle during the month of August. These gatherings will be designed not only to bring people together, but also with the goal of collecting 100 cans of food, or other necessary items, at each party. The cans collected at the parties will be dropped-off at STORYCHURCH on Saturday September 10 from 9am-1pm.  STORYCHURCH will have all the items we collected on display at service on Sunday morning, September 11th, at 10AM. Finally, on Monday STORYCHURCH will deliver the items to the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Click here to learn more and get started!
