DURHAM BRANCH HOME

The Durham Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina serves six counties in central North Carolina. They are Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange, Person and Vance counties.

Last year over 6.2 million pounds of food was distributed to 172 agencies in those counties. The Food Bank at Durham operates 2 trucks that traveled over 40,652 miles last year. Volunteers donated over 16,605 hours of their time last year, equivalent to over 7 full-time employees

In the counties served by the Durham branch, over 96,000 individuals are at risk of hunger: 30,000 are children and over 6% are 65 years and over.

Cedar Creek Gallery Adult Egg Hunt

Hundreds of prize-filled eggs will adorn the grounds of Cedar Creek Gallery as part of their 47th Annual Spring Pottery and Glass Festival! The eggs will be filled with various treats and prizes, including numbers that correspond to 50 clay and glass eggs handcrafted by Cedar Creek artisans. The search will get underway for adults only at 7:00 pm. World Beer Festival
