Food Bank Holiday Schedule & Annual Closings
Raleigh - Administrative Office and Distribution Center
All Vehicles From 440:
Take the Capital Boulevard exit 11 (south) if on the inner beltline. If traveling on the outer beltline take exit 11B (south). After merging onto Capital Boulevard heading towards downtown, move over to the far left lane. At the third stop light (just after you go under the bridge with railroad tracks, get in the left turn lane. Turn left onto Crabtree Boulevard. Once on Crabtree Boulevard, turn right into the Gateway Plaza parking lot just past the Bank of America. Once in the parking lot you will see the Food Bank directly in front of you and a “Food Lion Feeds” logo on the side of the building. Proceed across the Gateway Plaza parking lot and enter the Food Bank property. Once on the Food Bank property please proceed to the appropriate building entrance based on your needs:
- Volunteers take an immediate left in the Food Bank parking lot and proceed to the entrance on the side of the building in the middle of all the glass windows.
- Food Drive Donations, Partner Agencies, Visitors stay to your right and take the access road across the front of the property. Once you have passed the fencing turn left and proceed to the front of the building. Agencies go to the green canopy and visitors head to the purple entrance.
- Commerical Vehicles proceed straight up the road towards the fence and enter the fenced area at the gate.
Commercial
Vehicles From Downtown via Capital Boulevard:
Coming from downtown stay on Capital Boulevard heading north. Turn right onto Crabtree Boulevard. Once on Crabtree Boulevard, turn right into the Gateway Plaza parking lot just past the Bank of America. Once in the parking lot you will see the Food Bank directly in front of you and a “Food Lion Feeds” logo on the side of the building. Proceed across the Gateway Plaza parking lot and enter the Food Bank property. Once on the Food Bank property please proceed straight up the hill towards the fence and enter the fenced area.
Passenger
Vehicles From Downtown via Capital Boulevard:
Coming from downtown stay on Capital Boulevard heading north. Immediately past Capital Chevrolet, turn right at the white concrete entrance onto the Food Bank’s property and proceed to the appropriate building entrance based on your needs:
- Volunteers take a left once on the Food Bank property and proceed along the access road across the front of the property. At the Stop sign take a left and enter the large parking area on the left hand side of the building. Once parked, please proceed to the entrance on the side of the building in the middle of all the glass windows.
- Partner Agencies & Visitors continue into the parking lot and proceed to the front of the building. Agencies go to the green canopy and visitors head to the purple entrance.

From the Durham Freeway: From Hwy 147 (Durham Freeway), take the Briggs Ave N exit. Merge onto S Briggs Avenue. Turn right onto E Pettigrew Street. Turn left onto Ellis Road. Turn left onto Angier Avenue. The Food Bank will be on your left.
From I-85 North: From I-85 N, take exit 178 to merge onto US-70 E toward RDU Airport/Raleigh. Turn right onto East End Avenue. Turn right onto Angier Avenue. The Food Bank will be on the left.
From I-440 W: Follow I-440 W and US-70 W to East End Avenue in Durham. Turn left onto East End Avenue. Turn right onto Angier Avenue. The Food Bank will be on the left.

(outer beltline): Take I-440 East toward Wake Forest/Rocky Mount/Wilson. Take Exit 14 toward 64 East. Merge onto US-264 East toward Greenville. Continue on US-264 East and follow signs for Wilson/State Route 97/Greenville for about 50 miles. Continue straight onto Stantonsburg Road. Turn right onto Allen Road. Turn right onto US-13 South/Dickinson Avenue. Turn left onto Frog Level Road. Turn left onto West Star Street. Take the 1st left onto Union Street. The Food Bank will be on the left.
From I-95 S: Take I-95S to Exit 119A towards I-795/264E Greenville/Wilson. Continue on 264 East towards Greenville. Continue straight onto Stantonsburg Road. Turn right onto Allen Road. Turn right onto US-13 South/Dickinson Avenue. Turn left onto Frog Level Road. Turn left onto West Star Street. Take the 1st left onto Union Street. The Food Bank will be on the left.

From 40 East: From I-40 East toward Benson/Wilmington, take Exit 309 towards 70E Smithfield/Goldsboro. Continue on 70 East toward Morehead City. Take the Glenburnie Rd Exit toward Highway 43 in New Bern. At the top of the exit ramp, turn left onto Glenburnie Road. Go approx 2 miles. The Food Bank will be on your right.
From I-95 S: From I-95 South, take Exit 97 towards 70E Selma/Pine Level/Goldsboro. Continue on 70 East toward Morehead City. Take the Glenburnie Rd Exit toward Highway 43 in New Bern. At the top of the exit ramp, turn left onto Glenburnie Road. Go approx 2 miles. The Food Bank will be on your right.

From 40 East: From I-40 E, take exit 293 to merge onto US-1/64W toward Sanford. Follow US 1 south to Southern Pines. Upon arriving in Southern Pines, go to 3rd intersection, make a right onto Pinehurst Ave. Go about 100 yards on Pinehurst, then left onto Sandy Avenue. The Food Bank is on the left (first left from Sandy Ave.)

Directions: Passenger Vehicles
From 40 East: Take I-40 East toward Wilmington/Benson. I-40 east becomes NC-132 S/N College Rd. In about 2 miles you will come to Martin Luther King Pkwy. Make a right at the stoplight. Go about 2 miles and take the ILM Airport exit off the freeway. At the bottom of the off-ramp take a right at the stop light onto 23rd Street. Follow 23rd Street to Princess Place Drive and make a right at a stop light. Go to 16th and make a left, continue for several blocks (and stoplights) until you go across railroad tracks then take the first right onto Marstellar Street. The branch is about 1-1/2 blocks down on the left.
Directions: Commercial Vehicles
From 40 East: Take I-40 East toward Wilmington/Benson. About 4 miles before entering Wilmington (around mile marker 416) take the exit at the new I-140 bypass. Continue towards Shallotte/Myrtle Beach. Go about 3 miles and take exit US 421 South. Follow US 421 South about 3 miles into Wilmington. Pass the Battleship Memorial on the left and continue on 421 South. Cross the iron drawbridge that spans the Cape Fear River. Immediately after crossing, the bridge 421 veers right but STAY STRAIGHT. Do NOT follow 421 after crossing the bridge. You are now on Dawson Street. Continue on Dawson to 13th Street. Turn right on 13th. Marstellar is 3 blocks on left. Turn left on Marstellar. The branch is 1 block on right.
