Food Bank Receives Four-Star Rating
Charity Navigator, America's premier charity evaluator, has awarded the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina with its coveted 4-star rating for sound fiscal management. This is the fourth consecutive year that the Food Bank has achieved the rating.
"Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that your organization adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way. Only 6% of the charities we rate have received at least 4 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina outperforms most other charities in America." says Ken Berger, President & Chief Operating Officer for Charity Navigator.
Forbes, Business Week, and Kiplinger's Financial Magazine, among others, have profiled and celebrated Charity Navigator's unique method of applying data-driven analysis to the charitable sector. The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina is honored to receive such a prestigious rating.
