The Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC serves 34 counties in North Carolina, almost 19,000 miles - nearly 1/3 of the state, through 5 branch warehouses in Durham, Greenville, Raleigh, Sandhills and Wilmington. Our fleet of more than 20 trucks makes routine deliveries to agencies in rural locations and regular pickups from grocery stores and food manufacturers.
Nearly 900 partner agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, senior centers and daycare facilities, rely on the Food Bank for fresh produce, healthy grains, nutritious proteins and other necessities.

Your ongoing contribution will help with daily operations and continue these vital programs:
- Fresh Produce Program - garners essential and nutritious foods from local growers and packers.
- Kids Cafe Program - providing afterschool meals, tutoring, nutrition education, mentoring to kids at risk of hunger.
- Backpack Program - providing at-risk children with backpacks filled with food to sustain them through the weekend.
- Mobile Food Pantry - distributes food to rural communities that lack substantial infrastructure and transportation.
- Retail Recovery & Salvage Programs - rescues nutritious meats, produce, bakery and canned food that would otherwise end up in landfills.
- Food Stamp Outreach Program - helping seniors in poverty understand and access benefits
