National Association of Letter Carriers
Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
Saturday, May 13, 2017
We're partnering again with the National Association of Letter Carriers to take part in the largest one-day food drive in the country! Leading up to May 13, local letter carriers will distribute plastic bags for residents to fill with canned foods and dry goods. On Saturday, May 13th, the public is asked to leave the bags by their mailboxes for local letter carriers to collect. Once the letter carriers return to their Post Office, volunteers are on site to unload the food from the postal trucks, sort the food, and load it into Food Bank trucks returning to our six branches.
In 2016 we collected over 390,000 meals from the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. A special thank you also goes to our hardworking Letter Carriers who go the extra mile to support hunger relief!
Join us. It's easy!
Place your non-perishable food items by your mailbox on Saturday, May 13 and your letter carrier will take care of the rest! Or if you wish, you can deliver them to your local post office. Most needed items include: canned meats & vegetables, crackers & cereal, dried fruit, juice. No glass, please. View Our Most-Needed Items Shopping List!
Don't want to leave food out? You can still help the cause by donating via our Virtual Food Drive! "Shop" for produe items, or even whole meals without leaving your house!
