The Wilmington Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina serves 4 counties in southeastern North Carolina. They are Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover and Pender counties.
Last year over 4 million pounds of food was distributed to over 83 agencies in those counties.
Volunteers donated nearly 800 hours of their time last year. This is equivalent to almost 1/2 of one full-time employee!
The Wilmington Branch supports 3 Kids Cafe programs and 3 Backpack programs. In the past year, the Kids Cafe program served more than 28,000 meals and more than 2,400 backpacks were distributed to children in the counties served by the Wilmington Branch.
The Wilmington warehouse is 11,190 square feet and has the capacity to store over 137 pallets in dry storage and 26 pallets of refrigerated/frozen food.

 Congratulations, Wilmington Branch!
The Wilmington Branch celebrates its Five-Year Anniversary of a successful merger with the Food Bank of Coastal Carolina! Since the merger, distribution soared from a million pounds per year to over 4 million per year in the 4-county service area. Congratulations to supplying Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover and Pender counties with 15.5 million pounds of food since 2002!
