National Association of Letter Carriers Present
2009 Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
Thank you Letter Carriers & Volunteers!

On Saturday, May 9, the National Association of Letter Carriers united for the 17th Annual "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive, the largest one-day food drive in the nation. Letter carriers in our region collected non-perishable food from mailboxes and volunteers helped collect and sort food donations at select post offices.
The results are in! This year's Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive collected over 305,000 of pounds of food for the Food Bank! That's an increase of 58,000 pounds over last year and equivalent to over 250,000 meals for those suffering from hunger in our communities.
We are truly grateful for the hardworking city and rural Letter Carriers in our region for making this monumental food drive possible. We also thank our dedicated volunteers and the entire community for their generous donations. The Letter Carriers Food Drive is truly a community effort of neighbors helping neighbors.
Enjoy the photos below and we'll see you next year! THANK YOU!!
