Welcome to the Durham Branch Home Page!
The Durham Branch of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina serves 6 counties in central North Carolina. They are Chatham, Durham, Granville, Orange, Person and Vance counties.
Last year over 4.8 million pounds of food was distributed to 239 agencies in those counties.
The Durham warehouse is 18,500 square feet and has the capacity to store over 216 pallets for dry storage and 22 pallets for refrigerated/frozen food.
Volunteers donated 19,261 hours of their time last year. This is equivalent to approximately 10 full-time employees!!
The Durham Branch supports 3 Kids Cafe programs and 1 Backpack program. In the past year the Kids Cafe programs served more than 15,700 meals and more than 1,460 backpacks were distributed to children in the counties served by the Durham Branch.
